NEW: NEISD teacher resigns after an altercation with an autistic student in October 2024 Tenice Corbin’s 9-year-old autistic son texted her from Roan Forrest Elementary about back pain He told his mother that his teacher “threw me on the ground.” On Oct. 28, the teacher emailed Corbin, stating her son “ended up in a physical altercation with the other student. [The teacher] separated them but both got a couple blows in. Administration is investigating.” Ten days after the incident, the teacher resigned Corbin agreed to press charges but says the school provided no assistance “That draws me to the conclusion they didn’t care about pressing charges,” Corbin said “They just wanted me to be quiet... [There is] no accountability [and] no concern.”
