This went really well! We started off with Jason Reynolds as the author of our first book! I loved visiting with the students who came and got to talk to a few I hadn’t talked to in a few weeks. My students have motivated more than they know during this time. #mmsbelieves

Today’s meet was awesome! We played a game of kahoot about figurative Lang, looked at a list of idioms and talked about the ones we know, discussed our Lewis and Clark readings, shared our ssr books and sora app, and had a question time! The students fill my heart! #mmsbelieves

Loved reteaching persuasive essay skills and seeing growth during the second assessment. Confidence grew! #mmsbelieves

Loved expanding our descriptive writing skills today!

We created flipgrid video talking about our SSR video and using a Notice and Note question. Students discussed what surprised them as they read their novels they chose! #mmsbelieves #flipgrid #thepowerofchoice

Today classes dug into our new big idea of the unit by adding to our interactive word network! It was fun to see what they came up with! #mmsbelieves

Yesterday, after our self sustained reading times, students shared about what they read by recording #flipgrid videos. Students enjoyed sharing what they read, gaining confidence in their speaking skills, and watching the videos of others. #mmsbelieves #welovereading
