My wonderful aunt hand knitted a scarf for every student in my class! For some of them, this was their first scarf. We are very grateful ❤️❤️

Love our traditions of a Thankful Tree and Turkey Disguises ❤️It was an action packed, fun filled few days and now this teacher is very much ready for a break 🦃

We had our first writing celebration today and loved sharing our personal narratives with each other! We also loved the compliments that our classmates wrote on our writing compliment sheet 😉

Favorite Halloween/Book Character Day tradition? Reading Spookley the Square Pumpkin and making our own edible Spookleys 🎃🧡

We filled up our class compliment jar yesterday and so today everyone got to bring in a stuffed friend! We can’t wait to get more compliments and fill up our jar again for our next reward!

We said goodbye to our Monarch friends today and released them to start their journeys to Mexico 👋🏻✨

Last week I connected with @alicewillhelp about getting a gift card for a s whose shoes I had noticed were way too big… guess who had new shoes walking into school today?? He was SO excited to show off how they light up 🥰 my heart is so full & I’m so grateful for Alice’s Kids💕

We had a very exciting dismissal today 😉

One of my favorite ways to connect with families: Happy Mail! I actually keep a spreadsheet to try to make sure that every student has received at least one piece of happy mail within the first few months of school to build those positive relationships with families 💕

We are loving being entomologists in 2nd grade and learning all about the life cycle of our Monarch butterflies through observation 🔎

We’re getting off to a great start in 2nd grade! Finalizing classroom promises, committing to them by signing them, learning how to work with other during math and finding all sorts of ways to count collections of objects!! 🤗

And that's a wrap on the first day of year 4-complete with a classic read aloud of First Day Jitters of course!
