The County Assembly of Mombasa has adjourned its sittings from March 11 to March 31, 2026. The Leader of Majority Party Hon. Athman Mwamwiri urged Members to use the break to rest, reconnect with constituents and rejuvenate ahead of upcoming legislative business.

COMMITTEE ON FINANCE ASSERTS OVERSIGHT ROLE OVER ONGOING COUNTY GOVERNMENT PROJECTS. CECM, CO for Finance and County Treasury appear before it for deliberations and provision of detailed clarifications on the implementation of ongoing county government projects.

Particular attention will be given to developments in Bofu and Mjambere Health facilities, where concerns have been raised regarding procedural compliance and budgetary alignment.

Mombasa Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited appears before the County Public Investment and Accounts Committee (CPIAC) chaired by Hon. Sylvester Kai, to respond to the Report of the Auditor General for the year ended 30th June 2024.

It is with a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of the legendary journalist, Leonard Mambo Mbotela, following his untimely demise. Mzee Mbotela was not just a journalist but a beacon of inspiration, a mentor, and a trailblazer who shaped the careers of countles journalists, and set a standard of excellence in the media industry. Kenya, and particularly the Coast region, has lost a great man—a true icon. During this difficult time, I stand in solidarity with his family, friends, and the entire media fraternity.
