I am appalled at the shocking scenes and attacks on police vehicles & public transport in Leeds tonight. Disorder of this nature has no place in our society. My thanks go to West Yorkshire police for their response. I am being kept regularly updated.

• Visiting Alsager, Crewe, Macclesfield or Knutsford HWRC during weekends / Bank Holidays - you'll need to book a slot online in advance of your visit. This is so that queues & people’s waiting times can be managed. There'll be no limit to the number of times you can visit

Changes to our household waste recycling centres (HWRCs) will go live from Monday 5 August. These changes are being introduced on a temporary and trial basis so that we can make essential savings in 2024/25.

@CheshireEast Who is going to police the weekend slots?

The mobile HWRC will alternate between the three towns and each one will receive one visit per month. This will take place on a Saturday morning.
