Today was the last day at my internship with Dr. Toshi Hige at UNC. Spent the week analyzing data but had a final lab treat-I was able to see mobile fly larvae turning over in response to red light today! Grateful to @kenanfellows and to Dr. Hige for this opportunity!

Internship week 3-talked through then set up crosses to determine on which chromosome the mystery gene is located. @kenanfellows

Second week of my internship. I’ve been doing experiments using optogenetics to get a fly to respond to a stimulus. The lab software tracks the fly’s movement in real time. @kenanfellows
