@MissCurrerBell Watched the deleted scene and reread the same article a couple of days ago. I was just so impressed at how much BLH cared for, and understood AC. Still don't get why he doesn't get more credit as an actor. #BLH #Heybourne #MoreSanditon

I'd seen excerpts from this #Sanditon interview on the Masterpiece website about #AlexanderColbourne at the series' end, but somehow (don't ask me how) I'd never read the whole thing. When I finally did, it honestly made me so emotional. (1/4)

@kathykarrott @mulder_cin4ever @More_Sanditon It's no longer the pining/longing for look, although both RW/BLH were very convincing in conveying that emotion,it's CH recognizing/admiring what a good man AC is, and all the hard work/effort he's put into making himself the best father/uncle for Leo/Augusta

@mulder_cin4ever @More_Sanditon There is something new in her expression here…I always thought she realized she was in awe of him and the changes she had witnessed. And, I think he sealed the deal in her mind when he said, “…just as I must respect yours.”

@mulder_cin4ever @Paula4always @kathykarrott Wow, I forgot about this story. You're so right, call_me_mulder_girl. His painful inability to sent the apology letters and then at the end CH realising how much AC needs to hear the words "I love you" ❤️ 😥

@kathykarrott @mulder_cin4ever @Paula4always Will have to respectfully agree to disagree. I think he needed more than 2 weeks, although I can imagine there may have been some attempts that ended crumpled up and in the fireplace.

@msausten5 @mulder_cin4ever @Paula4always I’m sure he would have struggled to express his mind on that. However, after a week or two in Bath, I can’t help but believe he would have been prone to write her an explanation…he knew he had hurt her deeply.

@kathykarrott @mulder_cin4ever @Paula4always 2/2 and CH at Trafalgar House never really lets AC say what he wanted. I'm sure, and I think BLH confirmed, that AC was going to propose after his bumbling "the house feels your absence".

@msausten5 @mulder_cin4ever @Paula4always Well, since you brought up things that irked you MsAusten, I must match your irk with mine: AC would NEVER have let her comment about him not respecting her stand. I think he would have gone home and written to defend that charge, maybe going on to offer full explanation. Sigh.

@kathykarrott @mulder_cin4ever @Paula4always Never really realised or thought about how neither of them actually listened to what the other was saying in the the 2 scenes at the end of S2. AC was like a robot in the study. CH is telling him she was a willing participant & he just keeps talking 1/2

@kathykarrott @mulder_cin4ever @Paula4always 2/2 I think he was ready in S3 E1 at the Ball when he approaches CH "I was wondering if we might speak". I imagined him having prepared an eloquent apology/explanation and asking if they might start anew, but it was too late 😥.

@mulder_cin4ever @kathykarrott Interesting thought. You could be right. He obviously was thrilled when CH said "I too shall be attending". Then we got the heart eyed😍 "my dread of the occasion is lessened". I'm imaging him agonizing over saying that,as in "could I be any more obvious".😉

@msausten5 @kathykarrott Yay! Love a #Sanditon discussion 🥰 I like that C’s comment at the picnic had him thinking about taking A But do you think he might have thought Charlotte would be going and that was the little push he needed? A) Augusta out in society B) Spend time with Charlotte Win-Win 🤣😂

@mulder_cin4ever @Paula4always It wasn't just Lucy's betrayal. His mother died when he was very young and I always picture AC, as a child, thinking he had done something wrong to cause her death. His alcoholic cruel father was no source of comfort and Sam deserted him. 1/2

@kathykarrott @mulder_cin4ever I think he was still trying to get over "his dread of the occasion" when he just happened upon them dancing. Like you said KK, he was walking by,stopped, stepped back, watched and in that moment made the decision to tell Augusta. #Heybourne #MoreSanditon

@msausten5 @mulder_cin4ever I’d never considered that before! He does seem to have been walking past the room when he realized they were dancing and stepped back to watch. I wonder when he originally was planning to tell Augusta?

@kathykarrott @mulder_cin4ever I think he was up all night after the picnic thinking about it and CH's "I'm sure your uncle only has your best interests at heart" comment, (after he and Augusta argued about when she would be introduced to society). #Heybourne #MoreSanditon

@mulder_cin4ever Just curious…when do you think he decided to take A to the Garden Party? At the moment he was walking by and saw them dancing? Before?

@elanor15firefly So happy to see #BLH in anything. Can't wait for this to be released on BritBox. I saw the 2 clips where he was hitting on Mattie? (think that was her name). He was soooo fabulously sleezy/cringe 😅 #MoreBenLloydHughes
