I love my Somali people and language. I'm determined to re-learn my mother tongue since I now recognize and value the benefits of being bilingual. I am fortunate to have the chance to instill confidence in my students so that they can be equally proud of their multilingualism.

Today in 3rd grade music @gideon_pond @ISD191 we are composers! We learned sixteenths notes a few weeks ago and now we are practicing. 😊

Our incredible principal @gideon_pond @MrsBuchanan191 has been nothing but a strong & supportive leader. She leads by example and is always present in classrooms, hallways, answering phones in the office, etc. I couldn’t feel more lucky to have her at the helm of our school!
