No. Just no. People create theories all the time. Without research for reliability and validity, their theory isn’t helpful. What’s missing from your list are the millions of theorists that had inept/disregarded theories. The OP talked about celebrities. There’s absolutely no reason that a celebrity who graces the podium at graduation should be gifted an honorary doctorate. Especially when a HS degree is their highest degree. People confuse honorary doctorates with actual earned doctorates. That’s why it’s irritating to those of us who actually earned the degree.
