I finally had my surgery yesterday. Grateful to all at Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering Hospital for the care incl Helen who did my preop and made me feel safe. Especially to Dr. R the best surgeon. You gave me my life back. Thank you all for the support. I'm in pain but resting❤️

I was in the ER for 12 hours last night. The bleeding, from fibroids & adenomyosis, wouldn't stop. They finally slowed my bleeding down but when I was discharged, my blood pressure was at 172/97. I am still being told to wait 14mths for surgery. How is this healthcare in Ontario?

I'll preface by saying my littlest one is fine - but last night we had an emergency and had to call 911. And I don't know what was scarier - seeing my child coughing up blood or being told "There are a lot of life-threatening calls in the area so we'll try to get to you in 2hrs"

There were plans today to mark something special but things took a different turn. But my girlfriends came through for me like they have done before, with food and laughter and reminders that I never need to small up myself for any man. I won't have to do that with the right one.
