@SHistorians @jamierkennedy @TheMasters This is the right answer. There may be no hole in championship golf that players play to a spot (middle over the front bunker) regardless of where the pin is.

What's going on? It's been 38 years since anyone at @TheMasters made a hole-in-one at the 12th hole (Curtis Strange, 1988). Yet... it's only 155 yards. On average, PGA Tour players have a 1-in-850 chance of holing out from that distance. Since 1988, there have more than 11,000 tee shots hit on the 12th hole at The Masters. (Prediction: This is the year...)

@jamierkennedy @ciggycapital @TheMasters Ciggy is saying that statistically there is just as much chance of a hole in one this year, as there was last year, and that there will be next year. Just because we haven't had one in a while doesn't make the odds go up for this year.

@jonbrooks Doom and gloom right? Easy in 1985, impossible in 2025? 80% loans on avg. property 1985 PI is $703.11 at 12.43% rate (35.7% of avg HH income) 2025 PI is $2,176.35 at 6.81% rate (31.4% of avg HH Income) Sounds approx. equally tough to me.

My parents bought a house for ~2x their income… on one salary. I paid ~7x mine. Same country. Same “American Dream.” Completely different math. At some point it stopped being about hard work and started being about how much you’re willing to stretch. So is homeownership still the dream… or just the most expensive commitment people feel forced to make?

@johnfgately @PioneerBoston We desperately want selective wealth/income taxes on rich to work. They never do. MA's millionaire tax proves it AGAIN. But conclusion is inconvenient, so we'll pretend we didn't see it and try the same thing somewhere else. Piketty: Taxes on wealthy must be globally coordinated.

OUCH Massachusetts lost $4.18B in adjusted gross income in 2023, the first full year of the "millionaire's tax" new data show. Chart by @PioneerBoston issued with warning "persistence and scale of these losses signal structural competitiveness challenges" for MA #mapoli

@BetMGM I know the answer is supposed to be Izzo, who BTW is great. However, Pitino is the guy that has built contenders wherever he happened to be, even BU and Iona. Here's the list - BU Providence Kentucky Louisville Iona SJ All winners and better because of him.

@conquertheno Many think it's 11pm-7am. I have worked them all and 3pm to 11pm is by far the worst. If you want to hang with someone it's 1130pm to 1pm or so. Then you sleep late. With 11pm-7am you can plan when you sleep and when you are awake. Want to golf? You can plan it? Movie? etc.

@barstoolsports It looked like it was off Virginia, but on replay Hall (30) seemingly did not touch it. However, at least the announcers were saying that there was not enough irrefutable evidence that Virginia did not touch it. I disagree that it was most likely off Tennessee but get the call.

It’s early for Kentucky to move on from Mark Pope BUT if they did you have to think they’d call Arkansas coach John Calipari. Ace recruiter. Knows the SEC. Has made back-to-back Sweet 16s in two seasons with the Razorbacks.

@ThrillaRilla369 These claims are a mix of truth. Homes ❌ most homes in 1950/60s were financed as they are today Cars ❌ a majority have always been financed, 60% in early 1960s vs. 85% today College ✅ yes it was easier to pay for it 60 years ago Just doing my part to keep the internet correct

There was a time in America when a single income was enough to buy a house, own a car, and pay for your children’s college — all without going into debt. What happened?

@CollegeHoopsTIk This is highly solvable even without a shot clock which apparently some high school programs say they cannot afford. If a team has not made a move to score in 30 or so seconds, then ref has a “play on” move or statement and the offense has 10 seconds to shoot or it’s a turnover.

This is Milwaukee Juneau HS and Head Coach Torre Johnson Jr holding the ball with a two point lead for 90 seconds with seven minutes on the clock. Parents, send your kids to be coached by ethical and fair men, not ones teaching your kids to antagonize

@DrakeFantasy That is precisely what's happening. It's an arms race. Good and bad teams, winners and losers, will spend a lot of money on players. Every year there will be rosters/teams that seem ridiculously over paid. I am not saying BYU is one, rather there will be examples every year.

BYU paid $7 million to AJ Dybantsa. He led the nation in scoring. Cool. They finished 10th in the Big 12 and were a 6-seed in the NCAA Tournament after losing a key guard to injury. They lost to an 11-seed Texas team that finished 10th in the SEC. Is that NIL $ well spent?

@AwaddRadio @VCURamNation Close. And I love Phil Martelli Sr but I’m still going with #11 seed VCU vs #1 Kansas in 2011 Elire Eight. Also, in 2007, similarly #11 VCU upset #6 Duke which was a big win in VCUs progression to national recognition.

@ChadWheeler777 @mcsquared34 IMO he's saying if "the economy" recovers but "wages and jobs" don't, you're measuring a leaderboard for top 1% not an economy. This is the exact fuel for billionaire backlash. IMO he's saying people are tired of being told things are great when wages and jobs lag. Your take?

@DavidLeavitt California voted 64% and New York 61% for Democratic Presidential Candidate (Biden) in 2020 yet CA has 12 Republican House seats and NY has 7. I think you are missing his point, maybe on purpose?

@brontyman A bit of revisionist history. Tobacco bought influence with Democrats and Republicans alike. Fast forward: Big Oil might favor the right, but the "Climate Apocalypse" NGO complex is its own massive, tax-payer funded industry. Different products, different sides, but very similar.
