Fun fact: fraternity row at Ole Miss wasn’t integrated until 1988, 10 years before I graduated high school. Let’s talk about how, when the Sigmas were set to be the first of the D9 to move on to fraternity row, their house mysteriously caught fire. This isn’t the history lesson yall wanna go down…….
Ole Miss Sports@RebelSportsTalk

Fun fact: Mississippi is the “blackiest” state in the United States.. Ole Miss is 1 of only 3 SEC Universities that have all 9 black fraternities and sororities as active chapters on campus… but sure

.@Sen_JoeManchin and @kyrstensinema will go down in history as two of the people who stood at the doorway and blocked the passage of the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act when democracy and Black political power were under assault. History teaches us what happens when leaders choose political comfort over moral courage. The Hayes Tilden Compromise ended Reconstruction and unleashed nearly a century of disenfranchisement, terror, and the systematic destruction of Black political power across the South. Different era. Different names. Same devastating consequences. When people ask how we got here, their failure to lead and act in that moment will be part of the answer.

The DOJ filed a lawsuit against Denver CO, alleging the city’s 37-year-old assault weapons ban violates the 2nd Amd. Denver restricts certain semi-automatic AR-15 type rifles and high-capacity magazines. Denver’s mayor says they’ve kept 'weapons of war' off their streets, and called the DOJ’s case 'baseless, irresponsible, and a clear overreach’. 🧵

@forthecomments1 @SylviaM08 I remember the Order who were pedophiles and racist and Warren Jeffries. The FBI should've charged all those men. They could've stopped Bateman before he raped more girls. I've read books about the early Catholic Church that made my skin crawl.

Black elected officials and voters in Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana and South Carolina are trying to show the world how Republicans are rolling back their civil rights. “Our ancestors did not march, bleed, get beaten, jail and die for this legislature to use a court ruling as permission to gerrymander their grandchildren today,” Tennessee State Sen. London Lamar said. bit.ly/4u5zEhO
