67 days of attendance in a row = a 67 cake to celebrate except the Walmart bakery took creative liberties! My new goal is 100 days!

Fun day in 5th!! My 67th day of attendance in a row and we started March Poetry Madness! It’s my first year doing March Poetry Madness but I’m so excited!

After a week of reading, synthesizing, and writing, we used @curipodofficial to get a quick snapshot of their opinions on the share portion of our workshop today! Interestingly enough, 5th grade thinks ocean exploration is the way to go!

To wrap up our intro to our debate/ argumentative text unit, students @FurrElem collaborated to make a claim and write evidence/ reasoning to support their claim! This was based on research they did all week long. I’m really proud of them!

Amazing collaboration was happening today as our @FurrElem 5th graders explored argumentative texts! They had to read 2 texts and identify the author’s claim, while synthesizing important details to help find evidence to support their own claims! 🤯 Wish I took more pics!

5th graders worked collaboratively on writing a drama. Ms. Deese used tiered tasks for students to choose from to grow their collaborative writing piece. Great engagement and discourse! @FurrElem

Got trained on thinking tasks and knew I had to make a RLA version! 5th graders @FurrElem collaborated to write a short drama and then took on different revision/ editing tasks! The collaboration was beautiful!!! Proud of them 🥰
