After reading about various conflicts from our Road to the Revolution textbook, students randomly drew a conflict to act out for the class 🇬🇧➡️🇺🇸 Other groups had to guess what the conflict was after their performance 🎭 A new favorite way to show our learning 😎

5th graders presented their research over an influential African American & CER connection to a DM guideline for success. Some presentations were even translated into different languages! Thanks to @dishmanmcginnis teachers who brought their classes to view our hard work ❤️💛💚

Articles of Confederation vs Constitution 📜 students learned the difference by trying to balance a textbook w/ 1 pencil…. it failed! Then, balanced the textbook w/ 3 pencils… success! Articles = 1 branch of gov., unbalanced vs Constitution = 3 branches of gov., balanced!

5th grade was ready to be Spring Break-IN! 🌴☀️ Students reviewed for their Rev War test by completing a #qrbreakin by collecting different items needed for a beach day 🏖️ Each item represented a different task for groups to complete. Now bring on the real beach days!!😎

Dishman McGinnis students aimed for 2,000 Accelerated Reader points by spring break to put Principal Shawn Perkins in a dunk tank! They earned over 2,500 AR points so a few teachers joined in on the fun (cold plunge), too!!
