While studying the indigenous art and architecture of the Andean region, AP Art History students tried their hands at weaving! Pieces were inspired by the Inca T'oqapu—tunics containing complex geometric motifs to convey status! @TE_FineArts

The room was filled with pride & a true sense of belonging today as Ceramics 1 students completed their final exams. They reflected, analyzed, articulated, & curated, while enjoying tea and cocoa with their peers, from their very own hand-made mugs & cups! @TE_FineArts

Ta-da! Before and after! A student’s reaction to her glaze-fired piece today: “Who would have thought I’d be in an art class? Who would have thought I could make something like this?” I did. I always do. @TE_FineArts

The staining process is always magical in ceramics, but even more so when you’ve applied crackle glaze! Mia built this vase entirely by hand and is now adding the finishing touches with sumi ink. 🖤 @TE_FineArts
