NEW: Jada Kelly found not guilty of aggravated DUI in crash that killed two sisters despite .18 breathalyzer The charges stemmed from a January 2023 crash at the intersection in Jackson, Mississippi that killed sisters Azure Higgins and Valerie Lynch. Kelly’s breathalyzer showed a blood alcohol level of 0.18 — more than double the legal limit. A third aggravated DUI count was dismissed the day before due to insufficient evidence regarding one victim’s injuries. Had she been convicted on all counts, Kelly faced up to 75 years in prison. Family members of the victims expressed outrage during the trial, noting that Kelly “could not even hold her head up” for her mugshot at the time of her arrest.
