Reconciliation in action @RAMcMath in EFP10 & EFP12. Students pulled out invasive English ivy to make room for Indigenous plants like lələc̓ʔəɬp or Oregon Grape. A tree or two was saved from the choking vine, as well.

How can invasive plants like English ivy and holly be used for good? This week, REEd environmental teachers @RichmondSD38 made wreaths from these troublesome species.

How would you survive in the backcountry with an injury? Outdoor Ed students @RAMcMath learned essential skills this weekend with Coast Wilderness trainers. So much fun!

Wellness in the wild can start with something as simple as a walk in the park. This past week @RAMcMath, Outdoor Ed students visited the Nature Park @Richmond_BC and connected with nature, each other, and their wellness. @takemeoutside @RichmondSD38

For National Indigenous Peoples day, EFP12 & BCFP12 @RAMcMath did a reconciliation field trip, #ReconciliACTION by pulling out invasive English Ivy so that local plants can grow more freely. We made baskets and detergent from the pulled plants!
