This gist I heard at the salon yesterday is crazy. A woman I don’t even know was asking me for a spiritual person or pastor because of her neighbour. According to her, the neighbour watches her and her husband through a hole while they’re having sex, bangs the wall when she prays, and keeps disturbing them at night. My first reaction was that say she should report it or just get some boys around to confront the neighbour, because it sounded too extreme. But when I later saw the woman she was talking about, she didn’t even look fully “okay” mentally, so I told her the simplest solution is just to move out. That’s when everything became clear. She said she has been trying but finding a new place is not easy. And honestly, that was when it hit me a lot of things people call spiritual problems are just poverty in disguise. If she had money, she wouldn’t even be in that environment, let alone looking for a pastor over it.
