Something happened in tech this week that most people probably haven’t wrapped their head around yet. Perplexity just put an AI agent into a Mac mini. You literally plug the device in, put it on your desk, and it just runs… all the time. This isn’t like opening ChatGPT or asking a chatbot a question. It’s more like having a digital assistant that’s always on. It can move through your files, emails, documents, and apps. It learns how you work and starts handling things in the background instead of waiting for you to ask it something. While you’re sleeping it can organize files or summarize things you missed. While you’re at dinner it can draft replies or line up tasks for the next day. While you’re traveling it could be managing logistics or researching things for you. Calendar, email, purchases, travel planning, reminders… the boring administrative stuff that eats up time. The part that’s wild to me is that most people still think AI is basically just a smarter Google search. But what’s happening now is a shift from AI tools to AI assistants that actually operate things for you. Tools wait for you. Operators work in the background. Once these systems start interacting with each other… your AI coordinating with someone else’s AI… a lot of the “busy work” people spend hours on every day just disappears. Three years ago everyone thought it was amazing that AI could help write an email. Now we’re entering a phase where it might just run the inbox for you. And this version is just the beginning. It makes you wonder what this all looks like a few years from now when this technology is even better.

@bartgregory Be cool if the game was watchable. It’s as if they’re videoing the game with a flip phone.

@BordelonDustin1 @HailStateBB Can y’all beat ranked teams? Looks like you’re struggling mightily with unranked teams. 3-10 Sacramento State is a sneaky little ball club.

@mcuban @jamestalarico Please God let this be the case. We’re sick of being pitted against our neighbors! We’re much stronger together! Completely over it!

Apparently @jamestalarico won with a huge turnout from young adults. Want to know why? Here is my guess: On social media, the algorithms give you more of what you consume. Talarico’s messages are positive. To the point of being “syrupy”. Voters that committed to watching his social posts, got more of not only his posts, but also other positive messages. Contrast that with historically negative messaging across past elections, and I think the contrast was striking and motivational for many. Enough to draw record numbers to a primary. It may be crazy to some, but the idea of “my feed and FYP got better the more I watched his videos” is enough to get voters excited to support and vote for him. Call it “PositivityMaxxing” 😂. But I truly believe that candidates that can give positive messages, authentically and confidently , can be part of a new successful trend. Regardless of party or office. Thoughts ?
