Looking at our own screen, I don’t quite subscribe to the the idea Netflix competes with TikTok and Fortnite (“entertainment is something you do”): one is children vs young adults vs adults, plus the juxtaposition is terribly unhelpful as everything we do moved online.

Met a young Ukrainian Taskrabbiter and they made a very nuanced argument while complaining about why Russia can’t be more like resource-rich Saudi Arabia: rich, dictatorial alright but far less revanchist – quintessential Robert D. Kaplan.

Real disruptive innovation...one of the better lockdown memes coming out of Shanghai. A man uses a massager to click so fast his food order actually goes through. There have been huge delivery shortages as the entire city remains locked down. Not sure this actually works…

@1kprojectorg If you’re in Europe (like we are) and rely on Putin’s gas & oil (like we are), you can do the right thing by offsetting your govt’s energy transfers that fund the corrupt circle of war. The simplest way to “morally offset” today is to respond in kind through direct relief effort.

Heard an intriguing idea to solve fuel shortages today. Instead of fixing a maximum spend (eg £25), have a minimum spend (say, £60). Anyone just top-top-topping up their cars would stop. Only people running low would actually buy fuel.
