By all accounts and from what I've always heard, it definitely appears WVU has two main candidates in this order: Ben McCollum and then Jerrod Calhoun. McCollum would be another Drake coach (kinda a weird coincidence) and one of the top names on the market. Calhoun would be a coach with recent success and obvious ties. As I said from the start, Wren Baker didn't have to do the "cast a wide net" thing that he talked about with his other searches this time. He vetted most of the coaches last year, including these top two. This should not be something that drags out for weeks on end.

@BrodieMcWhorter Great guy and family but you have to put wins on the field and do it against the top programs! Zero Top 25 appearances in 6 years just doesnt cut it in any program not just WVU! I hope you stick with the program and allow Wren to make a choice and see that fit for you!

UPDATE : Triple H and The Rock reportedly had a sit down conversation this week alongside Bryan Gerwitz regarding the #WrestleMania main event situation, as well as the massive backlash from fans how they could find a way to sort things out. As result of this conversation, The rock did listen to Triple H’s advices and agreed to going heel, aligning himself with Roman Reigns, at least for the time being, which allowed HHH to pivoting back to his original plan of Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes. From what I can tell, Triple H’s message to The Rock was essentially to read the room and listening to the people. As regards The Rock’s involvement at WM 40 going forward, it remain unclear what the actual direction will be, but The Great One is still expected to be featured in some capacity. The Rock vs Roman Reigns is still on WWE’s working plans in a foreseeable future.
