To all those doubters who said @Arm would never go anywhere and there would never be big commercial applications like Oracle databases available for the architecture: hahahahahahahaha, joke’s on you ❤️ blogs.oracle.com/database/post/…

@grathium_i @LinuxHandbook re POSIX: Why this is a problem ? You write your .fish scripts and then run them with "#!/usr/bin/env fish" Fish's string manipulation functions are again much better/clearer than Bash's. Only Perl can beat it! :-) Using Fish daily in the terminal is much more fun than others!

@mtgrigorov @LinuxHandbook I used to love fish for these exact same reasons. Then I tried to write a script, found it's not POSIX compliant, then switches to zsh. You can do all the syntax highlighting+navigation+history that fish does in .zshrc + plugins. It's just a pain to set up

Bash is not the only shell in Linux 🐧 Here are some more 👇 → C Shell (csh) → Korn Shell (ksh) → Z Shell (zsh) → Fish Shell (fish) I still prefer bash though. Which one is your favorite shell?
