MTHS Marching Hawks

The Music Department competed at Hershey Park this weekend. The Jazz Band came in 3rd with an “Excellent” rating. The Concert Band came in 4th with a “Good” rating. And the Choir came in 1st with a “Superior” rating. Great performances by all!

The Winter Guard has been having a great season so far. On March 7th they came in 3rd out of 6 guards placing First in Equipment. And today they came in 2nd out of 6 guards at Hunterdon Central with a score of 70.6. Great work ladies!

The Marching Hawks closed out their season with a fantastic performance at Hershey Stadium. They placed 7th out of 22 bands with a score of 84.70 at the Atlantic Coast Championships! The Color Guard took 3rd overall. A phenomenal ending to a stellar season.

The Marching Hawks came in 4th place out of 7 bands at the Regional Championship on Sunday with a score of 81.56. They are seated in 6th place going into States this coming weekend at Barnegat HS

The Marching Hawks swept the competition at Jackson HS on Saturday. Winning First place with a score of 79.56 and earning captions awards: Best Music, Best Visual, Best Percussion, and Best Color Guard. They are now 6th overall heading into the Regional Championship.

The Marching Hawks came in 3rd out of 6 bands with a score of 75.90 yesterday at Southern Regional HS. The Hawks also received the highest visual score for their group.

The High School Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Concert Choir all received the highest score of “Superior” at festival today. Brilliant performances by all these talented musicians.

The Marching Hawks placed 10th out of 20 bands at the Atlantic Coast Championship with a score of 85.47. This is the best placement the band has earned at Nationals in their 7 years in Tournament of Bands. They were ranked 14th going in and will end their season 10th overall.

Congratulations to the Hawks Football Team. The Marching Hawks are proud to support them and we never get tired of playing our Fight Song.

The Marching Hawks placed 7th in the state against 14 other bands this weekend. They scored an 85.71 which is our school’s best score at State Championships in TOB

The Marching Hawks earned 2nd place out of 5 bands at Region 7 Championships today with a score of 84.36 and winning Best Color Guard. The Marching Hawks haven’t placed that well at Regions since 2019. Next week we’re off to States.

The Marching Hawks added another win to their season against two other bands at Jackson Liberty tonight with a score of 83.44 and sweeping all captions: Best Music, Best Visual, Best Percussion, and Best Guard.

The Marching Hawks took 1st place out of 3 bands tonight at Southern Regional HS with a score of 81.7!! We also took home the Best Percussion Award! Great performance, Hawks!

The Marching Hawks won their first competition of the season with a score 72.66! Catch them live at home as we host marching bands from all over the state this Saturday at 5:00pm. The Marching Hawks are set to perform at 8:55pm.

The Marching Hawks had a great time performing the theme to “Ghostbusters” for the annual Toms River Halloween Parade.

Congratulations to the Marching Hawks who came in 10th in State Championships with a score of 84.55 They had their best performance of the season and had so much fun with our Western-themed show this year.

The Marching Hawks placed 3rd in their region. They had a great performance but were outplayed in the end.
