Moody skies this afternoon while watching for cetaceans from Kinnaird Head, Fraserburgh. #Orcawatch

@EileenFindlay3 I think this type mainly eats insects with occasional small birds. It was flying around catching insects yesterday.

@mtnsofscotland Beautiful bird. Never seen one. I take it they have a larder too like the grey shrike? Came across a larder decades ago at St Cyrus beach with my old dad. It's the only time I've ever seen anything related to a shrike. Fascinating birds.

Managed to locate this beautiful Woodchat Shrike this morning, which has been seen near Brora during the past few days. @RareBirdAlertUK

@mtnsofscotland We watched them from East Lothian on Saturday. We think 5 with a big bull. Wonder if it’s the same pod? 🐳

@quineofthenorth Strongly suspect Magnus met the 19s between Hopeman and Lossiemouth. Magnus left Hopeman earlier in the morning shortly before the orca swam past. The orca were then seen 'swimming with a seal' rather than attacking it off Covesea. Not sure of outcome.

@mtnsofscotland I wonder if this is why Magnus the walrus is still hanging around harbours in the coastal towns?

@mtnsofscotland Have you ever seen one breach? I have. In the med. On holiday on a tourist boat. I was scanning and one jumped clean out of the sea about a mile from our boat.

@mtnsofscotland Very few images of Barolo that are as good as this. Very nice.
