Under Trump’s administration, he has weakened our NATO presence by trying to take Canada and Iceland. Has moved against our trade partners with tariffs. And he and Hegseth have dramatically weakened our military. They have used munitions at a rate that suppliers can’t replenish. Hegseth has moved ships and military away from other important areas of the world. Our ships fighting the war against Iran, are stuck inside the Straits of Hormuz and have no way to exit if a need arises elsewhere. Xi is patient and will move to take Taiwan when he feels Trump and Hegseth has weakened or military beyond the ability to respond. Xi is waiting to see if the U.S. sends Taiwan the military package the House has approved. If he does, Xi will send military armament to Iran. Trump was weak with Xi and failed to get confirmed commitments for the U.S. or the CEOs that accompanied him on this trip.
