@mikesmith187 This is a quick old exploration I had done. I’ve got my own interpretation of Cortez going, and was exploring a spurred version as well. Haven’t touched it in ages though (which is why the lowercase looks insane)

Type Twitter: I'm looking for something so unbelievably specifc and I'm having trouble finding anything that fits. Do any of you know of a super thick retro feeling typeface that is A SERIF version. I can find plenty of chunky retro sans but no serifs. Open to a flare too! THX!!

I genuinely do need to write about this because I was looking at an image and thinking to myself “I hate the way this font was drawn, I bet it is from [redacted]” And lo and behold it was.

@alisha_hg Admittedly, “ethical” fashion at scale will probably never be sustainable because the forces are constantly at odds with one another. I think projects like the Paynter Jacket thrive because they’re small batch and extremely focused. paynter.co.uk

IMO this Everlane acquisition by Shein is probably the final nail in the coffin for the niche optimism around good branding, values, and customer goodwill being enough to sustain a brand that was rampant in the 2010s.
