I will reiterate my prediction that Josh Hammond will be a Top 100 Prospect at the end of the season. To be perfectly honest, he might already be one. After a 3-for-3 night, he's hitting .355/.420/.597 as a 19-year-old shortstop.

Your reminder as to why KC voters aren't being allowed to vote on the Royals stadium plan. Elected representatives already know their constituents oppose it. But local leaders want it (and the perks that go with it), and they want taxpayers to pay for their luxury play palace.

It appears this season is not going to go the way any of us planned. However, whether you like it or not, the Royals are probably not going to fire their manager. Teams don’t generally fire a manager who’s coming off two winning seasons and to whom they just gave an extension. I’m not arguing principle; I’m arguing pragmatic reality. So I’m unlikely to entertain nightly arguments about whether or not he should be fired. I don’t have the energy. We can talk about his successes and failings, the lineup, the pitching staff, really anything that is actually happening. But a firing is not happening anytime soon and probably not this year.

@royalsreview Career years from Bobby, Lugo and Wacha along with near perfect pitching health. Also a probably unsustainable average with RISP. Made the organization think they were close and disnt need major additions

I think we have to start admitting that Bobby Witt Jr. having an MVP season may have papered over a lot of problems.
