Holding Christian beliefs isn’t a crime. Finland’s “hate speech” conviction of MP Päivi Räsänen – for simply writing a pamphlet defending the Bible – shows the tragic state of religious freedom in the West. The United States stands opposed to these ideological attacks against the Christian faith.

What a weird story. Why not just read the Bible? Rom.10.9 - That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
None of the things you wrestled with are even mentioned in the Bible.

This verse is about Abraham’s offspring, which have always been those who have faith—from Abraham, to Moses, to David, to Peter, to Paul, to Christians today.
That promise is to the people of God, which today refers exclusively to Christians.

@jennfrey To be protestant or more strictly evangelical is to abhor the doctrines of Rome. Any genuine believer should be repulsed by Romanism/Papism. This is not news.

@SomoinaKapeen The missionaries didn't preach to Africans a gospel different to the one preached to them in Europe or America or different to the one committed to the Apostles by Christ. If you have any evidence to the contrary, bring it up.

Missionaries did not just bring a religion. They brought a story where Africans start as sinners, outsiders, and latecomers to God. A story where God speaks elsewhere, chooses elsewhere, and only visits Africa through foreigners. This is why African spirituality had to be destroyed first. Once you convince people that their ancestors were foolish, their land cursed, and their memory dangerous, they become easy to rule. Spiritual amnesia prepares political obedience.
