twitch actually coined the term IRL, the category started late 2016 then years later turned JUST CHATTING before they decided to add “IRL” category back. every time theres ONE bad viral clip of someone doing IRL shit i see more and more people saying how shit IRL streamers are. no, we are not all ignorant & fucks with the society around us on purpose to farm clips 24/7 (no shit theres still entertainment we have to provide to make our content fun) but in a tasteful way. seeing the evolution of IRL streaming from 2017 until now, ive seen people rise and fall. meta shifted & change. especially the past 2-3 years the entire IRL market has evolved dramatically. a lot of us who does travel & outdoor content are experiencing this “shift” but i do believe what the roach king asmond said: “most successful long-term irl streamers are great” temporary gain is never the move. live by your eulogy not by your resume.
