Illinois Network for Pretrial Justice
The insistence by some to blame every act of violence on the Pretrial Fairness Act is not only a callous capitalization on someone else’s suffering, it's a distraction from honest efforts to improve community safety. Full statement: endmoneybond.org/misinformation…

Illinois has enshrined reproductive rights. Illinois has reaffirmed labor rights. Illinois has raised the wage. Illinois has rebuilt our infrastructure. Illinois has invested in workforce development. All to support and protect families across our state — with more to come.

Un día después de que llamaran a Puerto Rico “una isla repleta de basura” salí corriendo a votar. Le recuerdo a todos mis compatriotas que el día nacional de recogido de basura es el 5 de noviembre.

Yeah, right. Now they’re all conveniently deaf, all of a sudden. Well, every Puerto Rican and every one of their friends heard it. Come November 5th, Trump is going to hear us loud & clear.

Chicago's Puerto Rican community is furious about a joke made by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe at Trump's Madison Square Garden rally about the U.S. territory being an "island of garbage." abc7chicago.com/post/chicagos-…

I’m here to tell you that even though some have forgotten … I remember. I remember what it was like when Trump was president. I remember what he did and said, about Puerto Rico… About our people ... I remember after Hurricane Maria devastated our island… Trump blocked billions in relief … while thousands died. I remember that when our families lacked clean water and electricity, Trump threw paper towels and called Puerto Rico “dirty” and “poor.” But I was not surprised.. Because I ALSO remember… he launched his campaign by calling Latinos criminals and rapists. He’s told us what he’ll do. He'll separate children from their families and threatened to use the ARMY to do it This election goes way beyond political parties. Now let’s remember what the United States represents and stands for. It’s our name - United. Regardless of where we’re from. I’m Marc Anthony… I remember… And that’s why I support Kamala Harris for President

The British purchased 4 million Africans. 1 million died in the Middle Passage. 3 million were sold into slavery. The British held slaves in England and Wales, colonized over 30% of the world, was responsible for the murder and deaths of 56 million people, looted and raped Africa and India for over $100 trillion in resources. They were barbaric invaders that enslaved, murdered, brutalized, dehumanized, and colonized Black people and other non-white people across the globe. To hell with you melanin deficient prevaricators and your ahistorical remix, painting a nation with the blood of tens of millions of people across generations on its hands as a “force for good.”

Black men are the backbone of the men of the Democratic Party. Black men’s needs deserve to be taken up by the Democratic Party. That’s not radical, that’s rational.

They don’t care about their daughters as much as they do their husbands, fathers, sons and grandfathers. The majority of white women wouldn’t even vote for Hilary Clinton. Why on Earth would the majority of them vote for Kamala Harris? We can play dumb about the attractiveness of the racism, but it’s far more enticing than the idea of standing with other women. Every single time, the majority of white women will be loyal to upholding skin privilege.
