It’s extremely common for people to have very strong vocal support for other peoples passion projects but when it comes time to financially support them it’s crickets. It happens all the time.

Anyone who’s deeply affected by these layoffs isn’t in a position to turn around and now develop their own game for a year+ to then hopefully maybe possibly potentially get the game crowdfunded.
