It takes a special leader to be Kentucky's basketball coach. The pressure is immense. Elite coaches can handle the intensity for a decade. Mark Pope is a good man and has an illustrious place in UK's history. I'm afraid this job is going to eat him up. Hope I'm wrong. #BBN

Mark Pope deserves another season because it's the right thing to do, but that doesn't change the fact he shouldn't have been hired at Kentucky in the first place. Meanwhile, retired AD Mitch Barnhart gets a golden parachute. Make it make sense. #BBN

People will go after Jasper Johnson. It's unfair. He's been asked to play out of position all year because of the Lowe injury. My guess is he will transfer and will play great when he plays his natural position. Stop hating on the kid. #BBN

Kentucky played Florida three times this year. UK never led a game, not even for a second. That's total domination by Florida. That's coaching and roster construction. Mark Pope has one more season to get it right, but I'm in the camp he won't get it done. Hope he proves me wrong

I've watched most Kentucky basketball games over the past 30 years. It's been awesome. But, I'm intentionally not watching tonight's game or any game left this season. What Mark Pope has constructed isn't a standard of excellence. Other programs are passing us by. It's a shame.

Mitch Barnhart has hired 3 basketball coaches at UK. Two of those three: Billy Gillespie Mark Pope The one coach who was a great fit was John Calipari and Mitch reluctantly hired him. Men's basketball is the engine of UK Athletics and I don't trust the current decision-maker.

Florida is Final Four good. The only weakness appears to be the three point shooting of Boogie Fland. Teams will sag off of him big time. Florida is clearly better than Kentucky.
