I've been unemployed before and usually handle it fine but the combination of that, twitter and every other social media being a piss fire and AI fucking over every artist...it's doing -999 damage to my mental health. Anyone else? 😭

@mulmbot Oh mate, sending hugs. And you’re not alone, I can’t remember the last time I went over a few months without a job, hardly any offers and what I’ve had haven’t been worth pursuing. I’m picturing a glut of AI slop in the coming months which would have previously been good projects

@pigwinvr I'm having a hard time coming up with any use case for them that's worth it other than MAYBE translation for tourists..any other application is kinda sabotaged by the fact that these things hallucinate

@mulmbot Oh Mulm, I am sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Yeah the AI hype is focusing too much on plagiarism instead of, IDK, using it for other tasks that make the increased green house emissions worth it.
