I especially LOVE when he's depicted with these more tired but sharp, muted brown/purple-ish eyes bc he's so exhausted with fighting but there's still that rare and beautiful, gentle tone to them that tells you he's a poetic loverboy at heart that hasn't given up on his dreams

This design is Everything to me bc the holstered weapons, pointy bits and colder colors in his armor make him look edgy/cool but the colorful beads and flowing cloth gives him a more classic, romantic fairytale prince look at the same time (symbolizing a wish for freedom?)

People are still ripping on hope for blaming his mom's death on snow when the game very explicitly tells you he was only projecting his anger on snow bc it distracted him from his grief, NOT bc it was a logically sound motive 😭 these people are just plain illiterate

@DrakeyC8 RIGHT and then he sees snow risk his life to help a crystallized serah who almost everyone thought was already past saving whereas hope's mom was still alive before she fell! Of course he's going to carry resentment even if it IS misplaced

@multiakimo There's also that, as far as Hope could tell, Snow DID let his mother die. The player sees Nora go limp, slip from Snow's grasp, then he tries to pull himself up. But Hope is watching this from like, 100 feet away - from his perspective, Snow let her fall to try and save himself.

Lightning’s dialogue before going up against the girls being words of comfort/encouragement (?? don’t know how to describe it) is so sweet to me ☹️ her voice even softens a little too (esp when going up against Terra)

I'd argue the character writing the ff13 is some of the the strongest in the series. What makes it stand out is them allowing everyone to be imperfect, lash out, make mistakes, catastrophic one but they come together so well its almost perfect

@frambocolat Partly yes BUT ALSO the emotional turmoil and drama of it all 🤤 yearning, guilt, resentment, secrecy, the inner conflict of someone taking a risk for smth they want vs sticking to what they find familiar/safe but not wanting to give up on either one, etc etc this shit has it all
