Most token GTM strategies fail before launch. Not because teams aren’t trying but because they’re solving the wrong problem. A founder showed us a full GTM deck recently. Positioning, channels, launch sequencing. We asked one thing: "Where do the first 10,000 real users come from?" No clear answer. This is the gap. Most teams build marketing and assume distribution will follow. It doesn’t. The same GTM patterns keep showing up, leading to failure: • Narrative before demand • Capital deployed before a real channel works • Copying 2021 playbooks (awareness, KOLs, listings) The teams that outperform ask harder questions before they build: • Who actually needs this, and where do they already exist? • What does the first real revenue look like (before launch)? • If the main feature didn’t exist, would this still work? What’s changed: Distribution > awareness Liquidity is engineered Buyers are more selective GTM isn’t a launch anymore. It’s a distribution system that compounds.
