@losinghopein I still consider myself lucky to have had those items in the first place that I could sell and use to not have an empty home, but I still shouldn’t have had to make that choice considering I left with so little… these are the choices starving people have to make.

@losinghopein I moved out of my “family” home two years ago now and the only way I found myself able to furnish my new home and buy necessities on ODSP was to sell my collection of things that are most important to me. So now I have most necessities and a furnished home but an empty heart.

My towels are ruined, my bedsheets are torn, my couch is broken, my pots and pans are decades old and blackened from use, my non stick cookware lost it's coating, my shoes have holes and no way to replace any of it on disability support in Ontario. ☹
