Safe’s security team is working closely with @Bybit_Official on an ongoing investigation. We have not found evidence that the official Safe frontend was compromised. However, out of caution, Safe{Wallet} is temporarily pausing certain functionalities. User security is our top priority, and we’ll provide more updates soon.

Terrible thing. Last year @multisightapp , we conducted a research on multisignature wallets and wrote a comprehensive handbook for web3 projects and individuals. During this study, we found out that human error, particularly among multisig signers, is a major concern. It is a mix of adequate knowledge and the trade-off between speed of execution VS accuracy in execution. We also found out that optimizing UI to *specifically* flag malicious intents has proven very helpful (as seen in @tallyxyz's update after @gitcoin's MMM S19 budget was sent to the wrong address in 2023). Bybit ETH multisig cold wallet just made a transfer to our warm wallet about 1 hr ago. It appears that this specific transaction was musked, all the signers saw the musked UI which showed the correct address and the URL was from @safe . However the signing message was to change the smart contract logic of our ETH cold wallet. This resulted Hacker took control of the specific ETH cold wallet we signed and transfered all ETH in the cold wallet to this unidentified address. Please rest assured that all other cold wallets are secure. All withdraws are NORMAL.
