Construction Update: Starting Mon, Nov 27th, East Main St will be closed at Hackley for a couple of days (weather permitting). There will be detour signs at Ohio to Adams, but a hard closure at Hackley. We anticipate the project will be done by 12/1/23. Please use caution.

Update for 8/21/23: Liberty at Main St. will be closed with a lane restriction on Main. Liberty & Charles St. will be closed for 3-4 days. On Tues, Liberty at Main will be opened back up with lane restriction on Main. On Weds, we will move the lane restriction to the other side

Update for 8/15/23: MSD will be working on Liberty/32 paving this week. On Mon, Aug 15th, Liberty will be closed btwn Jackson & Adams, with the entire intersection of Liberty/Adams closed. There will be lane restrictions on Jackson at Liberty.

Construction Update: In coordination with Indiana America Water, MSD will need to close University Ave between Alameda & Reserve on Weds, Aug 9th. Please expect an all-day closure & potentially continued closure Thurs, Aug 10th. Please use caution in this area during that time.

8/03/23: MSD crews will be closing University Ave from Light St to Reserve St for sewer repairs at Locust & Reserve. Work is being done prior to paving planned for later this year. Steel plates will be put down at the end of the work day to open it back up for nighttime travel.

(6/21/23): Crews are doing storm sewer improvements on Wheeling between Riverside & University. Wheeling is currently closed in both directions. Nbound lane will be reopened at end of the work day. We also have a crew on S Meeker Ave between 27th & 29th St. Please use caution.

Construction Update for the week of 5/1/23: MSD construction crews will continue working on Meeker through Weds with a complete road closure on Tues during the day to replace a culvert pipe. The road closure will be in the 3100 block of South Meeker.

Update: 4/24 & 4/25- MLK Blvd & Cromer will have restrictions for storm sewer repairs. Northbound curb lane on MLK will be closed just south of Cromer to Waid, & Cromer will be closed at MLK. 4/26-4/28/23- Meeker from 12th to 26th St will have restrictions in various locations.

Update for 3/21/23: Road Closure on S Walnut from 18th to 21st St MSD has S Walnut, from 18th to 21st St closed today for storm sewer work that includes replacing storm inlets & storm pipes across the road. We anticipate the closure to be until later tonight or tomorrow (3/22/23)

@LastWeekTonight Just wanted to let you know that Mr. Blue, famously seen on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, is retiring after 25 years of service. We are upgrading our recycling program to a bag less toter pick up that will no longer use blue bags.

Update: Madison St was opened back up to traffic last night (3/6/23) at 9 PM. Today,(3/7/23), crews have the 3700/3800 block of N Oakwood (Norwood to Bryden) shut down to repair a sinkhole. MSD anticipates Oakwood only being shut down during the work day of Tuesday, March 7th.

Due to an emergency sewer repair, MSD will have the southbound lanes of Madison closed from 15th to 18th. The northbound side will be restricted to one lane in the same area. Detour signs will be up for southbound traffic to use 15th to Elm Street to 18th back to Madison Street.

@munciesanitary can we get someone out to clean out storm drains in our neighborhood. Gas company is installing new equipment and the mess is causing issues on corners with drains being blocked with debris. 3117 W Amherst 47304 is our address & several areas near us affected.
