@TrishEgan4 No I haven’t been there Trish - not my idea of the way I like to Shop! I agree - I think the days of the beautiful Department Store - as we knew them are on the way out - with on-line shopping to blame - a select convenience for the busy lifestyle of many today!

@munsieanne Have you been to the new store at Chatswood Chase Anne? Looks like a hangar with racks of clothing. Awful - lost me! Such a shame because I have such great childhood memories. Having said that, running a department store today would be a nightmare - possibly past their time? 😊

Just had a conversation at my local coffee shop, long time locals, fellow greek Australians. We were talking about the milk bottles that came in glass bottles. The milk tasted so yummy . When finished you had to leave the empty bottles outside to be collected

@munsieanne @spannaforce Yep - sure was Anne. Great memories and fun times although I’m sure there’s no way they’d let people hang on the edge of trucks nowadays like we did. Was in the back of the truck one night when we almost rolled going backwards down a very steep hill (brake failure - Scary!)

@spannaforce Yep - I was our local milko. Those were the days when I could run behind a truck for 6 hours each day carrying up to 12 x600ml bottles in each hand basket.
