@GeorgeGumisiri4 @munu_mitch @ivan_mugabi A fascinating read - thanks for sharing. The Dero was still a common sight in Acholi villages in the 1980’s. Explained like this it’s obvious, but shame to say, their role in proving community resilience for the future never occurred to me.

Real issues: @munu_mitch. The symbolism in “Dero” both as an object and metaphor for – “African culture.” So much to ponder! Well done! @timjhey, @ivan_mugabi
