@reallifeguts @Nightlight555 I actually got into it around the same period of time because I was obsessed with Light Yagami and saw someone putting Griffith in a list next to him. It intrigued me and I got into it…never had the courage to watch that terrible adaptation lolll

@murderotism @Nightlight555 Same, own the book too. You mentioned you read berserk front to back 4 times correct? I got into it way back in 2016 cause the shitty Netflix adaptation got me into it, the boat arc was still ongoing at that time. It was miserable lol

@murderotism @Nightlight555 You’re free to share your perspective, but it’s always been consistent what Guts’ feelings towards Griffith were always like, that much is made clear and the sources in the guidebook back me on that. You should read it whenever you can, it’s interesting

@murderotism @Nightlight555 I just can’t see it the same way you’re reading it, I will not deny that there were moments where guts spoke of Griffith highly but I interpreted it as someone speaking about a person they admire and care for, I never took it as anything beyond a friend admiring another friend.

@murderotism @Nightlight555 I never said he was made insecure by Griffith’s words I said he felt personally offended by them, and I can acknowledge that yes their connection runs deep but the way each view their connection is entirely different is the point I’m trying to make.

@reallifeguts @Nightlight555 You can acknowledge their friendship and also the fact that there clearly is a mutual attraction that may be deeper and more aware on Griffith’s side and whatnot, but Guts has compared him to all sorts of things with romantic undertones before

@reallifeguts @Nightlight555 Well I never said the opposite, he indeed sees him as a friend but it’s also undeniable how some circumstances and panels indicate an underlying attraction towards him that Guts himself doesn’t wholly understand
