Today, the grade fours at @AnneJMacArthur1 welcomed and met with George Neeb, an author, illustrator and publisher! We learned more about the hard work it takes to write and illustrate books, more about Ancient Egypt & Ancient China and even got to hear him read us a story!

Over the past two weeks, we have been learning alongside @OntarioParks to learn more about Ontario Species at Risk. We created posters to help spread the word on what you can do to help: Piper Plovers, Little Brown Bats, Massasauga Rattlesnakes & Bumble Bees! @AnneJMacArthur1

Students in 4V have been presenting their learning on a famous Black Canadian. Students created Pixton comics, created informative slides and created mosaics! Amazing job grade 4s! @AnneJMacArthur1

We had a ROCKIN’ good time in 4V this afternoon! We mined for “minerals” in our cookies and got to meet Emma, the geologist. She answered our questions about rocks & minerals and shared more about her job as a geologist! @AnneJMacArthur1

Recognizing pink shirt day in class 4V today. We had great discussions regarding what bullying is, what we can do to put an end to bullying and how to be an up-stander! @AnneJMacArthur1

A big thank you to @HDSB_TheShift for leading us through how to create a “Soundscape” using google slides. We built our soundscapes based our on visualization and imagination skills! @AnneJMacArthur1

We had some special visitors today to class 4V! We got to meet a painted turtle and a snapping turtle. Thank you to @OPBronteCreek for visiting us and teaching us more about Ontario’s wildlife! After our learning, we created awesome infographics on turtles. @AnneJMacArthur1

All school bus transportation is cancelled for all #HDSB schools. Many Halton municipalities are reporting that side streets are not cleared of snow and we anticipate school staffing shortages. Therefore all HDSB schools and workplaces are closed.
