I'm not dead yet(I think). I've been working on a commercially non-viable orchestral cover of the song(Paper Plane) from the Aemeath(Wuthering Waves) trailer. This is a ROUGH DRAFT. Orchestra is noteperformer 5. Singer is SynthV Xia Yu Yao(zero parameter tuning applied).

I've learnt a huge chunk of orchestration from an old app called Sibelius Instruments that my first guitar teacher provided(CD and serial code). It had everything: instrument ranges and possible techniques, along with sound samples that I've played ad nauseam

And lastly I read about instrument doubling, dividing, and relationships between ranges and timbre in Rimsky-Korsakov's Principles of Orchestration. +A YouTube video about John Williams' customization of timbre by changing instrument doublings even mid-phrase

During my fascination with the pedal harp phase as Rimsky-Korsakov put it in his book, I relied on a (facebook?) harpist who would play viewers' 30 second compositions and give feedback regarding what is possible and give tips on notating accidentals for clearer pedal changes.
