On the eleventh day of Christmas... It's 1964 and children are receiving the first ever full Lego sets which included all the parts and instructions to build specific models. In 2000, Lego is named the “Toy of the Century” and has sold over 75 billion bricks across 140 countries!

On the eight day of Christmas... The Nintendo Gameboy is released in 1989, a handheld console that supported interchangeable games, although its screen could only display games in four shades of grey. Now a vintage classic, the Gameboy will remain a staple of 90s nostalgia.

On the seventh day of Christmas... In 1982 the Cabbage Patch Kids dolls are a hit with the kids. The cloth dolls were all unique and came with a “birth certificate” strengthening their individuality.

On the fifth day of Christmas... it's 1968, Hot Wheels are born from a design challenge at Mattel. A toy car needed to be invented that was cooler and performed better than anything else on the market. A dedicated team created colourful fantasy custom cars we know and love today

On the fourth day of Christmas... It's 1997 and was it even Christmas if you didn’t get a Tamagotchi? The digital pet, Tamagotchi’s needed cleaning, feeding and playing with, however, if neglected they would die, leading to people taking their Tamagotchis wherever they went.
