In 2010, 18-year-old Ben Greenhalgh won the reality show Football's Next Star and signed a 6-month contract with Inter.
He never played a single game for Internazionale but was presented with a Champions League Winners medal after being part of the traveling squad for the 09/10 final.
After 6 months, Nerazzuri resigned him for one more year and sent on loan to the 3rd tier Calcio Como, where he scored 8 goals in 12 games.
He returned to the UK in 2012 but never made it to the high level.
In 2015, he became a professional golfer.
Today, 33-year-old Greenhalgh is the player/manager at a semi-professional level for Margate FC in the Isthmian League.
With the The Open golf chanpionship returning to Ireland this week, we are running a tipping competition, please contact Stevie to get involved. #theopen#FreeMoney#golf

Maybe it’s because McTominay is a bloody good, underrated footballer
