Tuesday's horse racing thread 🧵 Goodwood 4.08 Manxman 10/3 Chepstow 4.20 Sub Thirteen 14/1 each way Goodwood 5.18 Eye Of Dubai 2/1 Wolverhampton 5.45 Likeness 2/1 Wolverhampton 6.15 Almekarem 15/8 NAP Southwell 7.00 Annsar 11/1 each way Southwell 8.30 Coedana 2/1 NEXT BEST Don't judge MANXMAN too harshly on those last two runs. He impressed winning over C&D before those blips and is still just a 5yo so could easily have more to come over 2 miles. His form at this track reads 231 so he clearly likes it here. Hopefully Divine Comedy and Aggagio take each other on somewhat as the more pace on the better for him as he will be finishing strongly. This isn't a strong race so with 3 places on offer I'm going to chance SUB THIRTEEN getting involved. He looked badly in need of the run on return over C&D when last seen and with that under his belt and dropped 2lb it would be no great surprise to see him improve markedly and get involved here. He won Leicester off a higher mark last season so there is reason to be optimistic. Back below his last winning mark and now getting softer ground EYE OF DUBAI should be a big player here. He remains quite lightly raced especially under optimum conditions and I can see him bouncing back with a big run under Jason Hart. I feel like LIKENESS has been screaming out for 7f and with a couple of runs under her belt now she should have a great chance to open her account under Billy Loughnane. She has plenty of scope so should go on improving for a long time yet. Experience should count for plenty so no surprise if she goes forward and dictates. Kingman colt ALMEKAREM showed much more on debut for this yard finishing third at Southwell last month. He ran on well at the finish and was behind the two right horses in Vincent Rocks and Balticum. Polygram should go forward and could set it up for him as he will definitely stay further in time. As long as Cotiere isn't smart then he should improve enough to take this. The market principals look worth opposing and ANNSAR seems great value. This Time Test filly is back up to a mile and I can see that really suiting. She just looked tapped for toe when third at Thirsk and the third High On Hope has won since so the form has been franked. Hector Crouch takes over and has been impressing lately so she looks a great each way bet. Now handicapping COEDANA should improve enough to win this. She has shown promise in all 3 starts to date and the form is working out particularly well. This trip looks ideal and I'll be surprised if she doesn't prove better than a mark of just 74. The yard are a bit quiet but other than that I really don't see too many negatives. She is 2/1 in the betting but I can see her proving a bit of a gamble come post time.
