All on carbohydrates, no doubt? Actually all on fat - "Before birds set off on their migrations, some 50–60 per cent of their body mass can be fat, which they then use as a primary fuel source to power them through their flights". sciencefocus.com/nature/birds-m…. Yet the same bird biologists continue to believe that humans are so different that they need their carbs for endurance performances. “'For endurance exercise in mammals – like us, for example – we can’t support intensive exercise with fat; it’s all carbohydrate,' says Dr Alexander Gerson, a professor at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in the US". But it's not intensive exercise, Doctor, it's very prolonged exercise.

En realidad si existen las enfermedades mentales es porque estamos cableados para sobrevivir a pesar de todo.

If you had to choose one, nutrition or movement, what would it be? For years, we’ve treated it like the chicken-or-egg dilemma. But if we zoom out and look at physiology, the answer starts pointing in one direction. All roads may lead to Rome, but metabolic efficiency, sustainability and long-term health follow a clearer path. A conversation with @Alan_Couzens @MVAitor Links below 🧵 👇
