What I really struggle to understand here is how this keeps coming up in the Smash community. Obviously stuff like this happens everywhere but I feel like Smash is the only place where I see it THIS often. What about our scene attracts people like this? Something’s gotta change.

Am I crazy for thinking there could have been a way to keep things relatively anon but also inform major TOs about this so he couldn't go to events for such a long time after the private ban?
Allowing him to go to events isn't him "addressing his behavior in private"

@MVD731 TO's can keep the victim anon from the public but I dont know how they can keep it secret from the perpetrator - who could retaliate in any number of dangerous ways
Ex) What if the victim lives with the person they report and wants it kept private until they find somewhere else?
