@Indicfederr0d Exactly, shipbuilding is the biggie when it comes to manufacturing. Puts us on the global map, helps with trade as well and helps in port expansions and drives volumes. One day potentially can become a suez canal or a hormuz kind of a strategic spot if we get traction

An investment in Thoothukudi by a company like Hyundai Heavy Industries, combined with the Vizhinjam transshipment port, could make South Tamil Nadu extremely prosperous. I've always believed South Tamil Nadu is not living up to its full potential and is too often distracted by regressive caste conflicts. If more large-scale industrial investments happen, many of these social divisions could gradually fade as economic opportunities improve for everyone.

Shipbuilding is such a sector which creates huge employment opportunities across sectors of steel, crane, heavy machinery, chemicals, logistics etc. The biggest win is it coming to Thoothukudi- South TN. Praying all goes well!!

He became Mayor in 1996 (after 30 years).
He became Minister and Deputy CM in 2006 (after 10 years).
He became Chief Minister in 2021 (after 15 years).
Meanwhile, someone captured power in just 2 years.

We Tamilians, and Indians in general, had mastered urbanization until about 100 years ago. Our cities were once the definition of peak aesthetics. It's sad that after Independence, misguided policies and excessive bureaucracy contributed to the decline of many of our cities. So much heritage and so many historic old towns were demolished, and the rivers flowing through our cities became polluted. Everything seems to have deteriorated. I hope one day we can once again enjoy the kind of beautiful, well-planned cities that our ancestors did.

One of the concerns on previous DMK government was not much focus on civic issues in Chennai which led to their downfall in the city.
Glad that TVK government is paying due attention into this.

Even when Jaya threw him in Jail, he went and aligned with the AIADMK, it was DMK which gave him lot of chances as an MP both in LS and RS. Today he is moving towards the power all just to secure his son's prospects. He should also remember that his Son's political career was nurtured by DMK.

@akilan16 Amma patrol was the renomenclature of pink patrol, same applies here. Schemes will continue. EPS didn't stop the csr scheme, there are so many govt schools where the funding was continued and it was renamed by the stalin govt, i confirmed by looking it up now.
