More evidence showing the constraints wild animals in Maasai Mara are experiencing due to the interference of their ecological niche by Hotels and Camps built on their immigration pathways and along Mara River Banks. The only solution is a Demolition of such hotels.

@valxcxx @rebelwithaprose @chiqqashanna @valxcxx How did I miss your essay. We are in conversation! Down to the invocation of Ngugi. It’s nice to not feel so alone in this but also sad because it’ll probably only become more prevalent in subsequent generations.

This is so excellent, & while I’m glad I came across it, I felt a sense of sadness when I finished reading As someone that’s taken to teaching -& learning- Nyanja this year, it’s interesting to read about the varied policy decisions & economic reasons that language is what it is

@LXRE__ One of the characteristics of the African theatre is audience participation. It’s accepted if done in moderation. In fact, the actors most times wants you to engage them, because most of our plays draws heavily on traditional African oral performances.

A version of this essay was a finalist for the @sevhage prize for Creative Nonfiction in 2023. Judging by the spirited debate around the topic the themes clearly continue to resonate.
